3 zone hi hat support?

Postby gassler » Wed Feb 08, 2023 7:50 pm

Has anyone configured a 3 zone hi-hat? Particularly with Superior Drummer 3.

is this possible and how does it work?

I have a 3 zone hi hat and use it in SD3. Not sure where you're stuck but this how I set my notes in Megadrum:

See that edge/bow/bell have the same note for each level of openness.

Then in SD3 this is what it looks like (look at the top 4 notes - the splash is handled by SD3):

Hopefully this helps.

Don’t they require two 1/4” cables coming out of the 3 zone cymbal?

If it uses two cables, how does it plug up to the megadrum?

No, I have a Yamaha-style cymbal that only needs one TRS cable.
