If it asks for a driver then it is a stripped down/customized Windows version. Standard Windows comes with USB MIDI Compliant drivers built-in.

If you chose a Minimal kit then you felt that you're not just a drummer:)

Sorry for the dump question ... I just wanted to do a firmware update on my megadrum, but I forgot the type of mainboard I have.

It's an ARM version from 2013, and on the board it says "STM32 ver.3". Can anyone tell me what firmware I need? :?:

Edit: I found a solution: MDM says STM32F103RCT6, and that should be firmware megadrumSTM32b_56_20150411.bin. Maybe I should read before posting ...

I'm pretty sure it's the 32b. You can't load the wrong one anyway.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

Ahh, thanks! I have just found out by myself, but your confirmation makes me feel safe. :)

I am trying to run mdfwupdate under win 7 from the command line but it doesn't work. Have followed the instructions as said but it keeps doing the same thing over and over again. Is another way to update the firmware of an ARM chip unit?

Please, describe step by step what you do (just as I did in http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtop ... 779#p14779 ) and what happens.

1)I have downloaded mdfwupdate under c:/mega folder with the firmware "megadrumSTM32d_56_20151207" .
2)Running from command prompt "C:/cd\megadrum" to get into the folder and then the following screen appears

Image

mdfwupdate appears only for a second and then nothing

Run the command line (CMD) as Administrator and make sure megadrumSTM32d_56_20151207 is in the same folder as mdfwupdate.exe.

You can also do firmware recovery uprgade from MDM. Go to Main->Firmware upgrade and follow the onscreen instructions, which are:

Before you run the Firmware upgrade, make sure that MegaDrum MIDI ports are selected in Main->Options for both MIDI In and MIDI Out:

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
